Got questions? We've got answers
The most common questions about roof tents, rental and delivery.
Almost any car with roof bars rated for at least 50 kg of dynamic load will work. What matters is the rack's capacity while driving, not parked — the tent stays well under that limit. If you're unsure, send us your car's make and model and we'll recommend a fit.
A hardshell opens in seconds, is aerodynamic and quiet to drive — ideal for frequent travellers. A softshell offers more sleeping space for less money and suits those who stay put longer. The Horizon hybrid combines the strengths of both.
Hardshell tents open on gas struts in about 30 seconds. Softshell tents take 3–5 minutes to pitch. Packing down is slightly slower, as the fabric needs to be tucked in properly.
Choose a period, book via the inquiry form and bring your car to us — we fit the tent on the spot and give a quick walkthrough. At the end of your trip, bring the car back and we remove the tent. On long-term rentals, the rent can count toward a purchase.
Yes — if you rent a tent and then decide to buy the same model, we deduct up to 14 days of rent from the purchase price. It's a great way to try a model before buying.
Yes. Courier delivery within Estonia is free on orders over €1000. We also ship to Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and the rest of Europe — the rate is calculated by weight and destination.
All SkyTent tents carry a 3-year warranty covering material and manufacturing defects. Hardshell shells carry a 5-year warranty.
Yes. Hardshell tents handle the weather well and can stay on the car all season. For softshells we recommend a travel cover. For winter, we suggest removing the tent and storing it dry.
Yes. Our fabrics are waterproof (at least a 2000 mm water column) with taped seams. In strong wind we recommend parking the car nose-to-wind and using extra guy lines if needed.
